Millar Leaves Pile of Crap for Francona

Reported 6/13 on the Boston Herald Clubhouse Insider blog:

Terry Francona said that with the Baltimore Orioles just in town before the Boston Red Sox arrived, ex-Red Sox and current Oriole, Kevin Millar, left him a special gift in the manager’s office.

The contents in the bag were, uh, stuff, courtesy of a clubhouse guy’s dog. Francona, who had been battling an upset stomach before his arrival here, said that the thoughtful present precluded any shot Millar had of ever playing for the Red Sox again.

What's with the minus scores on this. This is why some boston fans are dumb. You're team won in spite of its manager. I still hold a grudge to the sox and thier fans who were calling for Grady Little's head. I think that move was classless and shows little knowledge of baseball. The guy lead you're team to game 7 of the ALCS and what does he do? He keeps his best pitcher in the game in the 7th inning!! How many of you wouldn't do the same thing.

How many of us wouldn't have done the same thing???? Try every single god damned one of us. Every single person in the world (with the exception of Little and apparently you) knew that Pedro was done. He had absolutely no business being out there to start the inning and when he was obviously in trouble he should've been pulled immediately.

It was meant as a joke and it was taken as a joke. But I assume when Francona said Millar has no chance of ever coming back it's because he plays like what was in the bag.
