Mike de la Hoz (Miguel Angel (Piloto) de la Hoz) was born on October 2, 1938 in Havana, Cuba. He made his Major League debut on July 22, 1960 for the Cleveland Indians. In 1960, his rookie year, he hit .256 with 6 home runs and 23 RBI. de la Hoz played for the Cleveland Indians, Milwaukee Braves and Atlanta Braves over the course of his 8 year career.

Most people believe that Mike de la Hoz's best season was 1964, when he hit for a .291 average.
