Born on July 20, 1960 in Fullerton, California, Mike Witt (Michael Atwater Witt) played for the California Angels and New York Yankees over the course of his 12 year career. Witt broke into the bigs on April 11, 1981 with the California Angels, and put up a 3.28 ERA in 129 innings pitched in 1981, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Mike Witt's best season was 1986, when he posted a 2.84 ERA, won 18 games and struck out 208 batters.
