Born on February 3, 1951 in Gastonia, North Carolina, Mike Wallace (Michael Sherman Wallace) played for the Philadelphia Phillies, New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers over the course of his 5 year career. Wallace broke into the bigs on June 27, 1973 with the Philadelphia Phillies, and put up a 2.82 ERA in 60.2 innings pitched in 1974, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Mike Wallace's best season was 1974, when he posted a 2.82 ERA.
