Born on July 22, 1973 in Corvallis, Oregon, Mike Thurman (Michael Richard Thurman) played for the Montreal Expos and New York Yankees over the course of his 6 year career. Thurman broke into the bigs on September 2, 1997 with the Montreal Expos, and put up a 4.70 ERA in 67 innings pitched in 1998, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Mike Thurman's best season was 1999, when he posted a 4.05 ERA and struck out 85 batters.
