Mike Stratton (David Michael Stratton) was born on April 10, 1941 in Venore, Tennessee. After going to high school at Tellico Plains (TN), Stratton attended the University of Tennessee. Stratton made his professional debut in the AFL in 1962 with the Buffalo Bills. He played in the AFL for 8 years, playing for the Buffalo Bills the entire time. Stratton also played in the NFL for 4 years, playing for the Buffalo Bills and San Diego Chargers over the course of his 4 year NFL career.

Most people believe that 1962 was Mike Stratton's best year, as he picked off 6 passes.
