Born on August 10, 1962 in Anaheim, California, Mike Schooler (Michael Ralph Schooler) played for the Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers over the course of his 6 year career. Schooler broke into the bigs on June 10, 1988 with the Seattle Mariners, and put up a 2.81 ERA in 77 innings pitched in 1989, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Mike Schooler's best season was 1989, when he posted a 2.81 ERA, notched 33 saves and struck out 69 batters.
