Mike Sandlock (Michael Joseph Sandlock) was born on October 17, 1915 in Old Greenwich, Connecticut. He made his Major League debut on September 19, 1942 for the Boston Braves. In 1945, his rookie year, he hit .282 with 2 home runs and 17 RBI. Sandlock played for the Boston Braves, Brooklyn Dodgers and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that Mike Sandlock's best season was 1945, when he hit for a .282 average.
