Mike Prior (Michael Robert Prior) was born on November 14, 1963 in Chicago Heights, Illinois. After going to high school at Marian Catholic (Chicago Heights, IL), Prior attended Illinois State University. Prior made his professional debut in the NFL in 1985 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played for the Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts and Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the course of his 13 year career.

Most people believe that 1987 was Mike Prior's best year, as he picked off 6 passes and recovered 3 opponents fumbles.
