Mike O'Neill

Born on September 7, 1877 in Maam, Ireland, Mike O'Neill (Michael Joyce O'Neill) played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 5 year career. O'Neill broke into the bigs on September 20, 1901 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 2.90 ERA in 288.1 innings pitched in 1902, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Mike O'Neill's best season was 1902, when he posted a 2.90 ERA, won 16 games and struck out 105 batters.
