Mike Montler (Michael R. Montler) was born on January 11, 1944 in Columbus, Ohio. After going to high school at St. Mary's (Columbus, OH), Montler attended the University of Colorado. Montler made his professional debut in the AFL in 1969 with the Boston Patriots. He played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Boston Patriots the entire time. Montler also played in the NFL for 9 years, playing for the Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, Detroit Lions, Denver Broncos and Boston Patriots over the course of his 9 year NFL career.

Most people believe that 1976 was Mike Montler's best year.
