Mike Mitchell (Michael G. Mitchell) was born on October 18, 1961 in Waco, Texas. After going to high school at Richfield (Waco, TX), Mitchell attended Howard Payne University. Mitchell made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the New York Jets and Washington Redskins over the course of his 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1987 was Mike Mitchell's best year.
