Mike Melinkovich (Michael Joseph Melinkovich) was born on January 7, 1942 in Tonasket, Washington. After going to high school at Aberdeen (WA), Melinkovich attended Grays Harbor College. Melinkovich made his professional debut in the NFL in 1965 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Detroit Lions over the course of his 3 year career.

Most people believe that 1965 was Mike Melinkovich's best year.
