Mike McGeary (Michael Henry McGeary) was born on 1851 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on May 9, 1871 for the Troy Haymakers. In 1871, his rookie year, he hit .264 with 0 home runs and 12 RBI. McGeary played for the Troy Haymakers, Philadelphia Athletics, Philadelphia White Stockings, St. Louis Brown Stockings, Providence Grays, Cleveland Spiders and Detroit Wolverines over the course of his 11 year career.

Most people believe that Mike McGeary's best season was 1872, when he hit for a .360 average.
