Mike Mayes (Michael O. Mayes) was born on August 17, 1966 in DeRidder, Louisiana. After going to high school at DeRidder (LA), Mayes attended Louisiana State University. Mayes made his professional debut in the NFL in 1989 with the New Orleans Saints. He played for the Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets and New Orleans Saints over the course of his 3 year career.

Most people believe that 1990 was Mike Mayes's best year.
