Mike Lucci (Michael Gene Lucci) was born on December 29, 1939 in Ambridge, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Ambridge (PA), Lucci attended the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Tennessee. Lucci made his professional debut in the NFL in 1962 with the Cleveland Browns. He played for the Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that 1971 was Mike Lucci's best year, as he picked off 5 passes and ran back 2 interceptions for touchdowns.
