Mike LaValliere (Michael Eugene LaValliere) was born on August 18, 1960 in Charlotte, North Carolina. He made his Major League debut on September 9, 1984 for the Philadelphia Phillies. In 1986, his rookie year, he hit .234 with 3 home runs and 30 RBI. LaValliere played for the Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals, Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that Mike LaValliere's best season was 1987, when he hit for a .300 average.
