Mike Kreevich (Michael Andreas Kreevich) was born on June 10, 1908 in Mount Olive, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on September 7, 1931 for the Chicago Cubs. In 1936, his rookie year, he hit .307 with 5 home runs and 69 RBI. Kreevich played for the Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Philadelphia Athletics, St. Louis Browns and Washington Senators over the course of his 12 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Mike Kreevich's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1937, when he hit for a .302 average and knocked in 73 runs. However, others believe that it was 1939, when he hit for a .323 average and knocked in 77 runs.
