Born on October 25, 1966 in San Diego, California, Mike Harkey (Michael Anthony Harkey) played for the Chicago Cubs, Colorado Rockies, Oakland Athletics, California Angels and Los Angeles Dodgers over the course of his 8 year career. Harkey broke into the bigs on September 5, 1988 with the Chicago Cubs, and put up a 3.26 ERA in 173.2 innings pitched in 1990, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Mike Harkey's best season was 1990, when he posted a 3.26 ERA, won 12 games and struck out 94 batters.
