Born on October 27, 1962 in South Bend, Indiana, Mike Dunne (Michael Dennis Dunne) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Seattle Mariners, San Diego Padres and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 5 year career. Dunne broke into the bigs on June 5, 1987 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 3.03 ERA in 163.1 innings pitched in 1987, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Mike Dunne's best season was 1987, when he posted a 3.03 ERA, won 13 games and struck out 72 batters.
