Born on December 1, 1900 in Pana, Illinois, Mike Cvengros (Michael John Cvengros) played for the New York Giants, Chicago White Sox, Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 6 year career. Cvengros broke into the bigs on September 30, 1922 with the New York Giants, and put up a 4.41 ERA in 214.1 innings pitched in 1923, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Mike Cvengros's best season was 1923, when he posted a 4.41 ERA, won 12 games and struck out 86 batters.
