Born on February 17, 1951 in Phoenix, Arizona, Mike Cosgrove (Michael John Cosgrove) played for the Houston Astros for his entire 5 year career. Cosgrove broke into the bigs on September 10, 1972 with the Houston Astros, and put up a 3.50 ERA in 90 innings pitched in 1974, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Mike Cosgrove's best season was 1974, when he posted a 3.50 ERA.
