Mike Charles (Michael William Charles) was born on September 23, 1962 in Newark, New Jersey. After going to high school at Central (Newark, NJ), Charles attended Syracuse University. Charles made his professional debut in the NFL in 1983 with the Miami Dolphins. He played for the Miami Dolphins, San Diego Chargers, Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Raiders over the course of his 9 year career.
Most people believe that 1985 was Mike Charles's best year, as he recorded 7 sacks.
