Born on August 23, 1957 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Mike Boddicker (Michael James Boddicker) played for the Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Kansas City Royals and Milwaukee Brewers over the course of his 14 year career. Boddicker broke into the bigs on October 4, 1980 with the Baltimore Orioles, and put up a 2.77 ERA in 179 innings pitched in 1983, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Mike Boddicker's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1984, when he posted a 2.79 ERA, won 20 games and struck out 128 batters. However, others believe that it was 1990, when he posted a 3.36 ERA, won 17 games and struck out 143 batters.
