Born on September 29, 1980 in Villa Mella, Distrito Nacional (Dominican Republic), Miguel Asencio (Miguel (DePaula) Asencio) played for the Kansas City Royals and Colorado Rockies over the course of his 3 year career. Asencio broke into the bigs on April 6, 2002 with the Kansas City Royals, and put up a 5.11 ERA in 123.1 innings pitched in 2002, his rookie year.
