Yippee, Now New Orleans/OKC Hornets can move to Oklahoma $ity and say "O.K.C. 'ya later" to 'Nawlins - "where the weird go to get weird"
Holy crap! George $hinn REALLY IS the Grinch that stole basketballs from Charlotte!!! By freak coincidence a freak town adopted a freak team until a freak disaster forced the Grinch to go visit OKC... Well OKC smiles like Cindy Lu-Who (I bet there's a LOT of Cindy Lu's in OKC) and Grinch $hinn's heart (and wallet shaped pecker) grows 3 times larger! 120 million he's gonna pay...WTF happened here??? Dr $ue$$'s art coming to life... I gotta buy me a thneed before it gets too late!!!
Can we finally call the Jazz something more appropriate and rename the Bobcats 'the Hornets' and give OKC it's own nickname? New orleans will have lost two, count 'em TWO professional basketball teams. Let's just accept that NBA ballers and the Crescent City don't mix to well in this camera phone and DVD in the dash society. Let's erase/admit our mistakes and move on. Show baseball how to make sense and make things logical so future basketball fans won't be completely inept (I wanted to say 'retarded', but it just doesn't quite fit right).

Oklahoma City is BEGGING for something pro basketball flavored to shower with love! But they deserve better than to have Charlotte's and New Orleans's $loppy $econds and thirds. New Orleans didn't deserve Charlotte's to begin with, but what town was better for a sloppy seconds B-ball team than a sloppy second B-ball town? Charlotte can and should have 'Hornets' back in a 1993 teal kind of way, it seems right.. so all those kids that got their older brother's hand-me-downs can be cool again...or are they 'throwback cool' now???
So there's the assignment...what should the Oklahoma City Professional Basketball Team be called? I tried thinking about it for about 40 seconds and couldn't come up with anything good!!! The OKC Outlaws is all I could think of - damned USFL!!!
Oklahoma City "The 'other' O.C., bitch!"??? The $hinnflints? How about since the land there was once Indian lands, then taken away by the white man later- The Indiangivers?
seriously, I got nothing here for a good team name and God knows we need less stupid franchise names...granted, I've only been to OKC once.. maybe it's better than my impression led me to believe...I mean, it IS better than Amarillo or Tulsa... But since computers won't get to Oklahoma City for a few more years, I doubt anyone will be able to give us a good, inside perspective... The Dustbowls? The Rodeos?
The Grizzlies moved to Memphis, the Hornets paved the $120 million road to the promised fan...What's next? Are we gonna have a Midwest Bias?? The Orlando Magic move to Iowa??? the Des Moines Magic??? How about Kansas City Kings or the St Louis Hawks... Oh, wait?!?
What should the OKC team be called once they finally move there for good?
