Mickey Stanley (Mitchell Jack Stanley) was born on July 20, 1942 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He made his Major League debut on September 13, 1964 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1966, his rookie year, he hit .289 with 3 home runs and 19 RBI. Stanley played for the Detroit Tigers for his entire 15 year career.

Most people believe that Mickey Stanley's best season was 1969, when he slugged 16 home runs and knocked in 70 runs.
