Born on January 30, 1917 in New York, New York, Mickey Harris (Maurice Charles Harris) played for the Boston Red Sox, Washington Senators and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 9 year career. Harris broke into the bigs on April 23, 1940 with the Boston Red Sox, and put up a 5.00 ERA in 68.1 innings pitched in 1940, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Mickey Harris's best season was 1946, when he posted a 3.64 ERA, won 17 games and struck out 131 batters.
