Mike Edwards (Michael Lewis Edwards) was born on August 27, 1952 in Fort Lewis, Washington. He made his Major League debut on September 10, 1977 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1978, his rookie year, he hit .273 with 1 home run and 23 RBI. Edwards played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Oakland Athletics over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that Mike Edwards's best season was 1978, when he stole 27 bases.
