Michael Hawkes (Michael Tranzo Hawkes) was born on April 11, 1977 in Richmond, Virginia. After going to high school at Nottoway (Blackstone, VA), Hawkes attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Hawkes made his professional debut in the NFL in 2000 with the Carolina Panthers. He played for the Carolina Panthers for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 2001 was Michael Hawkes's best year.
