Michael Downs (Michael Lynn Downs) was born on June 9, 1959 in Dallas, Texas. After going to high school at South Oak Cliff (Dallas, TX), Downs attended Rice University. Downs made his professional debut in the NFL in 1981 with the Dallas Cowboys. He played for the Dallas Cowboys and Phoenix Cardinals over the course of his 9 year career.
Most people believe that 1984 was Michael Downs's best year, as he picked off 7 passes and ran back an interception for a touchdown.
