The New York Mets are being cautious with rookie SP Brian Bannister. The will probably ask Brian Bannister to pitch in a minor-league game before reentering the rotation. Bannister would avoid facing the New York Yankees on Friday and delay the decision on whether to remove Jose Lima or Jeremi Gonzalez from the rotation. Bannister is recovering from a strained right hamstring.
