With the 1st overall pick the Houston Texans Select...Everyone can Agree its Reggie Bush. With the 2nd overall pick, the (Saints?) Select?
Mario Williams. That bring us to # 3 and the Titans. Chow coached Leinart but he doesn't make the pick. Is it Young or Leinart?

I saw Reggie Bush on ESPN last night talking about how he was planning on being the number one overall. That guy is such an arrogant punk. I like his motion he's making to keep his number 5 when he goes to the NFL as a running back. He thinks he's so special.

By the way, Reggie Bush will be the number one overall. The Texans are sticking with Carr, so there's not much point in trading down. They desperately need a running back, and they've had their hearts set on Reggie Bush for months. Personally, if I were them, I'd have let Carr go and get Vince Young, but that option's gone. I think the best move now would be to trade down and get either Lindale White or that kid from Memphis, but they're not going to do that. First pick is Reggie Bush.

Bush.

ASwaff: The Texnas need a RB? What about Davis? I think they're going "best player available."

Texans have Davis (league's most underrated rusher) but will take Bush. Bush has the potential to be a transcending NFL player as far as receiving runningbacks are concerned, and he doesn't have to be a workhorse with Davis there. Davis will take care of the tough yards. Lining Bush and Andre Johnson on the same side will cause fits. Bush is possibly the best WR in the draft. As for #2 overall, the Saints trade to the Jets for their two first round picks or select DE Mario Williams.

3rd: Titans select QB Matt Leinart (Norm Chow the offensive coordinator)

4th: Jets could take Young, but don't seem to be high on him. Several things could happen. They could have traded this to the Saints, who would then take OT D'Brickashaw Ferguson. They could trade down in hopes of maybe catching Cutler. They could also be smart and take Ferguson for themselves.

5th: The Packers will take "Super Mario" if he is still around. If not, then Ferguson if he is still around and if not, LB A.J. Hawk.

I think the Saints control this draft. If they can trade the pick anything can happen. I don't think the Jets are the team to trade up. They are in position to get Leinart, Young, Williams or D Brick or Cutler. As long as they don't have 1 player ranked much higher than the others, they will just let the draft fall to them. I don't see a trade partner for the Saints so I think they will take either Ferguson or Williams.

People are underrating Young in their mock drafts. He really should be a top 3 pick with the talent he brings to the table.

If Young doesn't go 3 to the Titans He either goes 7 to the Raiders or 10 to the Cards.

DNL, saying they have Davis is like all the people that are saying the Jets wouldn't take Vince because they have Ramsey, or that the Lions wouldn't take Vince because they have Kitna. Davis is a pretty good back, but the Texans could do better. And I agree with Jgov. People are giving up on the Titans taking Vince Young just because Norm Chow is the offensive coordinator. You think Norm wouldn't like to have a big QB that can run? You think the Titans wouldn't like to have McNair mentoring his god-son, or that they don't like the idea of plugging Vince into an offense that's already built for a double-threat QB? There are a lot of factors people are ignoring when they say Norm Chow used to be Leinart's offensive coordinator.

McNair mentoring Young? Would've been a good idea except for the fact that McNair will be out of Tennessee before the season starts.

You don't know that yet. I think that the likelihood of McNair staying would be greatly increased by the acquisition, or at least increased talk of acquiring, Vince Young.

AsWaff, McNair has come out and said that he doesnt want to be a mentor to anyone, why do you think he has suddenly changed his mind?

The backdrop is that McNair has been a mentor figure to Young since the end of his Junior season, so they would get along. I still think they'll take Leinart and that McNair is gone. With that, Leinart goes third b/c he is familiar with the system and the Titans need someone to play now, which leaves Young a possibility of being a Jet or likely in Oakland.

We know that the Jets love Leinart. It also seems that they are not that intrigued with Young. This would logically leave them taking OT DaBrickashaw Ferguson at #4. Packers then should take A.J. Hawk at 5. Here's where I see 6-19.
Then come the 49ers at #6. Too bad they can't trade away Alex Smith. I think they take Michael Huff. Oakland then takes Young at 7. The Bills at #8 take Hloti Ngata to clog the middle. The Lions have a lot of issues but if everything goes as planned they will take DT Brodrick Bunkley as they try to establish a pass rush. This leaves the Cards at #10, who will be happy to take TE Vernon Davis to complete the culmination of the most powerful offense in football, the "Demolition of the Desert". The Cards would add a solid blocker while getting essentially another huge receiver to go with Boldin and Fitzgerald and James in the backfield. If Warner is healthy, watch out. At #11, Ernie Sims falls right into the Rams' lap. At #12, the Browns need a front line on defense (they can thank Denver for that) and will select Kamerion Wimbley. This leaves the Ravens at #13. They can address several needs and could go wide receiver but wouldn't be able to pass up on Jimmy Williams. At #14 the Eagles must address WR, and will do so with Chad Jackson. At #15 the Broncos take DeAngelo Williams. At #16, the Dolphins jump for joy as their man does indeed fall in Winston Justice. At #17, the Vikings also get the guy that slips to them and pull the trigger on Cutler. At #18 the Cowboys take Santonio Holmes. At #19 the Chargers take Tye Hill.
