Merwin Jacobson (Merwin John William Jacobson) was born on March 7, 1894 in New Britain, Connecticut. He made his Major League debut on September 8, 1915 for the New York Giants. In 1926, his rookie year, he hit .247 with 0 home runs and 23 RBI. Jacobson played for the New York Giants, Chicago Cubs and Brooklyn Robins over the course of his 4 year career.
