Merv Krakau (Mervin Floyd Krakau) was born on May 16, 1951 in Jefferson, Iowa. After going to high school at Guthrie Center (IA), Krakau attended Iowa State University. Krakau made his professional debut in the NFL in 1973 with the Buffalo Bills. He played for the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots over the course of his 6 year career.
Most people believe that 1976 was Merv Krakau's best year, as he recovered 5 opponents fumbles.
