Memo to West Virginia

West Virginia, you own one of the best party schools in nation. You have a tough mascot, I mean, who would want to fight a mountaineer, sounds like one tough dude. Your state has a reputation as tough dudes, at least in my head. So why, oh why, must you make me doubt your football prowess with a pathetic schedule?

Marshall, Eastern Washington, Maryland, East Carolina, Mississippi State. Whoa, your schedule makes me shake in my pants. Oh wait, you played Syracuse today... WHOAH!

Excluding any non D1-A schools, thats a combined opponents record of 10-17. While other teams around you have beat Texas, Iowa, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee, LSU, etc. You have beat... Ole Miss.

Steve Slaton and Pat White are impressive. But, if you want to be a top-10 team, beat someone. Until then, I will be dropping you to No. 11 in my mental top 25. Good luck with Louisville, at least they killed Miami while missing their QB and RB.

Furtermore, many of their non-conference games were scheduled when they still planned on playing Miami and V Tech every year.

Yeah I agree, what is not good is WVU non-conference schedule. There season will get tougher soon.

yes, well i think we all agree that college football needs some sort of playoffs or tournament to determine the best college teams, otherwise it is a bit unfair.

If West Virginia play in a conference like the SEC, Big 10, or Big 12 and they would be dominated. Teams like WV, Louisville and Rutgers will never be in any National Championship game because they don't and are scared to play nonconference games from the power conferences. The Big East doesn't even deserve an automatic BCS game. Just another mid-major.

give it up anon #4, if that's your real name. i'm looking at the sec, so what? arkansas who is one of that conferences better teams, barely beat vanderbilt (#65) and alabama (#36). i am quite sure that at least three or four teams in the big east would not be "afraid" of playing the sec. haha.
