Mel Stuessy (Melvin Matthias Stuessy) was born on August 8, 1901. Stuessy attended St. Edward's University. Stuessy made his professional debut in the NFL in 1926 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Chicago Cardinals for his entire 1 year career.
