Mel Hoover

Mel Hoover (Melvin Charles Hoover) was born on September 21, 1959 in Charlotte, North Carolina. After going to high school at North Mecklenburg (NC), Hoover attended Arizona State University. Hoover made his professional debut in the NFL in 1982 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that 1984 was Mel Hoover's best year.
