Mel Hoderlein

Mel Hoderlein (Melvin Anthony Hoderlein) was born on June 26, 1923 in Mount Carmel, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on August 16, 1951 for the Boston Red Sox. In 1952, his rookie year, he hit .269 with 0 home runs and 17 RBI. Hoderlein played for the Boston Red Sox and Washington Senators over the course of his 4 year career.
