Mel Branch

Mel Branch (Melvin Leroy Branch) was born on February 15, 1937 in Leesville, Louisiana. After going to high school at De Ridder (LA), Branch attended Louisiana State University. Branch made his professional debut in the AFL in 1960 with the Dallas Texans. He played for the Miami Dolphins, Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Texans over the course of his 9 year career.
Most people believe that 1967 was Mel Branch's best year.
