This is the fourth edition of the Meet the Users series. In each version, I will be interviewing a particular ArmchairGM user. This will allow all users to know each other better. The fourth edition goes to SSreporters
1. How did you learn about ArmchairGM?
I checked my e-mail, and Dan sent me a message about my blog, Stupid Sideline Reporters. I checked it out for 2 weeks, and signed up. If not for him, I wouldn't have known about this site.
2. Do you think that the Seattle Sonics will actually move to Oklahoma or is it bluff?
I'm disappointed that money and politics always gets in the way of sport, but I think that the Sonics are moving out of Seattle by 2010-11 NBA season. Trust me, Tim Donaghy bet a lot of money on that. I'm not saying Oklahoma City is their next stop, but it's almost certain that the Supes are done because of the moves made by Howard Schultz.
3. As an American, how did you get to be such a big soccer fan?
My dad introduced me to soccer last year before the World Cup, I watched some games, understood the rules, and became a big fan of The Beautiful Game. The teams I support, are Manchester United of the Barclays Premier League in England, and Toronto FC of Mercilessly Lousy Soccer the MLS. It's a shame though that you need a major pretty boy who has clearly diminished skills in David Beckham to boost interest in a league that rarely has crowds of over 15,000.
4. How good are the Seahawks this year?
The Seahawks are a good, but unnoticed team. Sean Salisbury will disagree with me, since his head is far up the behind of the Carolina Panthers. Sadly, the injury bug is still here with Shaun Alexander, DJ Hackett, and Marcus Tubbs. They are playing well, but one problem with them is their inability to play well in the 1st half. It's painful to watch, especially since Frank Gore will tear into that defense this Sunday.
5. How could ArmchairGM be improved?
There is not much to improve for Armchair, and I'm not sucking up to the 4 founders. This site is brilliant, although I wish there was some sort of section for "The Alternative Title Game", "Caption Contests", and other related ideas that pop into our overactive heads.
