Maxie Williams (Maxie Foy Williams) was born on June 28, 1940 in Granite Falls, North Carolina. After going to high school at Granite Falls (NC), Williams attended Southeastern Louisiana University. Williams made his professional debut in the AFL in 1965 with the Houston Oilers. He played in the AFL for 5 years, playing for the Miami Dolphins and Houston Oilers over the course of his 5 year AFL career.Williams also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Miami Dolphins the entire time.

Maxie Williams passed away July 7, 2009.
