Max Edward West

Max West (Max Edward West) was born on November 28, 1916 in Dexter, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on April 19, 1938 for the Boston Braves. In 1938, his rookie year, he hit .234 with 10 home runs and 63 RBI. West played for the Boston Braves, Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 7 year career.
Most people believe that Max West's best season was 1939, when he slugged 19 home runs, hit for a .285 average and knocked in 82 runs.
