Max Bishop

Max Bishop (Max Frederick Bishop) was born on September 5, 1899 in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on April 15, 1924 for the Philadelphia Athletics. In 1924, his rookie year, he hit .255 with 2 home runs and 21 RBI. Bishop played for the Philadelphia Athletics and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 12 year career.
Most people believe that Max Bishop's best season was 1928, when he hit for a .316 average and knocked in 50 runs.
