Born on September 17, 1885 in Marshalltown, Iowa, Maury Kent (Maurice Allen Kent) played for the Brooklyn Superbas for his entire 2 year career. Kent broke into the bigs on April 15, 1912 with the Brooklyn Superbas, and put up a 4.84 ERA in 93 innings pitched in 1912, his rookie year.
