Maury Britt (Maurice Lee Britt, Jr.) was born on June 29, 1919 in Carlisle, Arkansas. After going to high school at Lonoke (AR), Britt attended the University of Arkansas. Britt made his professional debut in the NFL in 1941 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career.
