Maurice Harper (Maurice Sydney Harper) was born on May 14, 1910. After going to high school at Sherman (TX), Harper attended the University of Texas at Austin. Harper made his professional debut in the NFL in 1937 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers over the course of his 5 year career.
