Matt Walbeck (Matthew Lovick Walbeck) was born on October 2, 1969 in Sacramento, California. He made his Major League debut on April 7, 1993 for the Chicago Cubs. In 1994, his rookie year, he hit .204 with 5 home runs and 35 RBI. Walbeck played for the Chicago Cubs, Minnesota Twins, Detroit Tigers and Anaheim Angels over the course of his 10 year career.
