Matt Mitrione (Matthew Steven Mitrione) was born on July 15, 1978 in Springfield, Illinois. After going to high school at Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL), Mitrione attended Purdue University. Mitrione made his professional debut in the NFL in 2002 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 1 year career.
