Matt Merullo (Matthew Bates Merullo) was born on August 4, 1965 in Winchester, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on April 12, 1989 for the Chicago White Sox. In 1991, his rookie year, he hit .229 with 5 home runs and 21 RBI. Merullo played for the Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians and Minnesota Twins over the course of his 6 year career.
Most people believe that Matt Merullo's best season was 1995, when he hit for a .282 average.
